The inspiration for Ominiqua comes from a detail from a stone carved memorial plate located in the south of France. The significantly aged and weathered stone-carved lettering called for interpretation and provided scope for major invention in order to create a full alphabet. The result is a set of characterful serif fonts that are distinctive in large sizes yet rather anonymousin text settings. Ominiqua is a hard-working, robust font that combines a contemporary appearance with plenty of classical details.
